Marié is a copywriter, corporate communications specialist, and search engine marketer. With over 18 years experience in the marketing industry, Marié started her career as a paid-for search engine specialist for MPG in London working on coveted accounts like Expedia, Wonderbra, ING, and TotallyLegal before co-founding, writing, and producing a new magazine during a three-year stint in the Caribbean.

Following a move across the world to Hong Kong, Marié worked as an online editor for Campaignasia.com’s network of five websites under Haymarket Media Limited before joining global advertising agency DDB’s corporate communications team for the Asia-Pacific region.

Back in South Africa after 13 years abroad, Marié completed her SEO certification through UCT’s Get Smarter and launched Copy Editor to provide clients with a full range of copywriting and editing services.

Marié completed a Bachelor of Arts and Honours Degree in Political Science before studying marketing and advertising at the Red and Yellow School of Advertising in Cape Town.
